What's New On Ithaca Greece
September 2021
Tuesday 21st
After a sticky weekend, a less steamy day is appreciated. Below - View to Afales and Platrithia from Exoghi in the north of Ithaca Greece.
Above - That's the life. Below - Frikes at dusk
Below - Ageri Restaurant just before the Dinner Hour.
Friday 24th - The temperature has dropped by about 10 degrees, but the skies are still sunny and blue...mostly. Below - the slopes above cemetary beach (Filiatro) in Kioni.
Above - A fair bit of new rock fall at Platiamo.
Above - Still alot of people around, including cyclists going from Ionian island to Ionian island.
Above - The exceptional Laertis Farm family in Stavros, led by Dimitris Lekatsas and his right hand man Andriano, supplying locals and visitors with fresh fruit and veg along with some mini market convenience.
Monday 27th - Another month just flew by. It's surprising how many people are still coming to the island, whether by yacht or by land.
Thursday 30th - The end of another month and although the flotillas will continue through to end of October, visitors will begin to thin more and more as we head deeper into it.
Below - Kioni at night. Above - The chapel at Pernarakia above Exoghi village.

Vacation on Ithaca Greece
Tuesday 21st
After a very, very long month of being ill
Friday 24th - Below - A birds eye view from Pernerakia above Exoghi village.
Above - Happy and sad news that Rementzo will be closing it's doors at the end of this month. Poppy and Nek aren't disappearing forever, they have a new project to get excited about, but Frikes will miss them. 2 decades of bayside servicing is alot to endure and they've done it in great style.
Above - A Kioni evening.
Monday 27th - If you haven't heard yet, Rementzo Restaurant as we know it, is closing down for good on Wednesday Come say goodbye on Wednesday or Thursday. Drop by find out what Pop and Nek have in store for you next year. Rementzo stays, but Pop and Nek will not. Vasso (below) has been one of the friendly faces serving Rementzo diners for many years.
Thursday 30th - Despite everything, it's been a bumper season on ithaca. The slow start turned into a great success. Of course we missed all the regulars who couldn't make it over the past 2 seasons, but we are with them all in our hearts.
