What's New On Ithaca Greece
September on Ithaca Greece
It may be the end of september, but there's still some sunshine left.

Wednesday 30th - The end of another month. It's been a long and very hot summer this year. Not usually one to complain about the heat, but I wasn't alone. Forecast predicts an equally cold winter this year. Guess we'll soon find out.
Below - Around Raxi, the small village above Kioni and Mavrona.
Below - Vathy still appears to be quite busy, especially with locals out and about. Not alot of yachts in during the day, but by this afternoon, they'll put down their sails and come into the various ports around the island. Restaurants are busy when the yachts are in port.
Above - Andrianatos family from SA. It's always a pleasure to meet people who love the website and regularly tune in. Paul Andrianatos and his family have their roots in the north of Ithaca in the village of Lahos and I met up with the whole family in the village square in Vathy.
Above - It's good to know that we have the sea taxi for inbetween ferry timetables, but it's also a great way to see what's a little further about Ithaca.
Above - Vathy Main Street.

Changing skies now that we're into Autumn and October only a breath away
Wednesday 30th
It doesn't take much rain to green up the island after such a long summer of nothing but sunshine.
Forecast for today says rain. How much, we'll soon see. Let's hope it's nothing that runs over into the next day because the Marida festival is on tomorrow and it would be great not to have it cancelled due to bad weather.
