What's New On Ithaca Greece
May 2023
Monday 15th - Weather wasn't great this weekend, but if there's brunch at Spavento cafe bar in Kioni Ithaca, it could be the worst weather in the world, that's where you're going to be on a Sunday morning.
Below - Family run hotels are becoming less and less, but The Nostos Hotel in Frikes carries on the tradition of friendly family accommodation on Ithaca and remains a popular location for visitors to the north of Ithaca. They provide full board too. Added benefit is that the large swimming pool is also open to the public for a small fee.
Above - Ag. Nikola festival was on the 10th of May so I'm a little late in posting the pics, but better late than never. Click Here or on photo above for more pics.
Friday 19th - A bit of wind expected today, but mostly a sunny start with a few clouds later in the day. Below - A Kioni view from Raxi.
Sunday 21st - Not too sunny today, but so far no rain, although it is forecast. Below - View across Lefki and beyond to Fiscardo above the Kefalonia Strait.
Above - Ag. Marina church in Exoghi needs some financial love to bring it back from the cracks caused by the last tremor, quite a few years ago now.
Wednesday 24th - Some rain the past few days, but the sun is back today.

Srping time on Ithaki
Monday 15th
Below - Andy, once part owner and chef at yefuri, had a pop up brunch at Spavento Cafe Bar in Kioni yesterday.
Friday 19th - Below - Ithaca's own dessert, Rovanni, recently served with ice-cream, but traditionally just wonderful on it's own.
Sunday 21st - Can't believe it's only a week away from the end of another month. June is knocking at Ithaca's door and I believe when it opens, there will be a rush of energy onto the island via the form of visitors, daily, weekly and longer.
Below - View from Pilikata down to Polis Bay in the north of Ithaca Greece.
