What's New On Ithaca Greece
December 2023
Friday 15th - Yesterday we had 20C in December with some rain, but temps are set to drop again today, not that much though. Doesn't really feel like winter. Below - View down to Marmakas Beach with Atokos in the distance.
Above - Stavros brings out it's Christmas decorations.
Sunday 17th - After a couple of mild days, particularly mild for this time of year, there was a sudden drop in temperature again yesterday. The island is fairly quiet now as many go to the mainland or on their annual holidays.
Tuesday 19th - Temperatures are up and down like a yoyo. Winter doesn't know if it's coming or going and nor do we.
Friday 22nd - Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and safe time over this holiday period no matter how or what you celebrate.
Sunday 31st - HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR KIND SUPPORT OF ITHACAGREECE.COM OVER THE PAST YEAR. WE HOPE WE CAN CONTINUE FOR 2024 WITH EQUAL ENTHUSIASM, HOPEFULLY EVEN BETTER.

Winter on Ithaca Greece
Friday 15th
This year's December feels like the mildest I've experienced in 22 years.
Sunday 17th - Christmas decorations are up all over the island, north and south.
Tuesday 19th - Christmas is just around the corner and as we head nearer the day, the island seems to be emptying out more and more, although there might be a spike in population as we get closer to the weekend with families uniting over Christmas.
Friday 22nd - On Some winter days, the views are so crisp and clear it feels like you can touch the mainland with one short reach and parts of the island you've never noticed before, reveal themselves.
Sunday 31st - Goodbye to another year and a big hello, hopefully full of health and happiness, to 2024!
