What does Greece do best? Sun, sea and Summer fun, well there are plenty of other things but for August, this is what people love about it.
Above - You'd never think there was a pandemic. Everything looks normal...except we know that's far from the reality.
Friday 28th - It already feels like September is going to be another big month even though August is not quite over. Below - Vathy. Our blue skies have been amazing these past weeks.

Saturday 29th - Well, we didn't quite make it through the month without 1 covid case. The Mayor of Ithaca yesterday announced that 1 person who was sent back to his home to quarantine. He is no longer on the island. The Mayor is directing people to here: https://eody.gov.gr/eody/ for covid19 information.
Anyway, let's get on with Summer. With so much bad and sad news from around the world, not just about covid, we should start to direct our thoughts to how we want life to be for us. No one wants to live in a pit of despair. Below - A Kioni view.
Sunday 30th - Ithaca’s new arts festival inspired by Homer’s The Odyssey, Paint The Lyric, is back for its second year - 14-22 September.
See original work by artists from Greece and all over the world, inspired by the story of Odysseus, the King of Ithaca. Open every day 10am -2pm and 6pm -10pm. Entrance is free. You can find Paint The Lyric at Gallery Vali just off the harbour in Vathi, Ithaca.

Thursday 27th
ithaca is exploding with people and it doesn't appear to be stopping.
Friday 28th
Saturday 29th - It's been a hectic month. Businesses thought it wouldn't be, but with more Greek visitors to the island, the tables turned on the gloomy business forecast.
Sunday 30th - It's been a quiet weekend and who knows what will happen next week. The world is up in the air and we're up there with it.
