Friday 20th - The island is so quiet now. Proof of it is seen in the Vathy village square with only one cafe with its seating out. The rest of the square is shut for business.
Sunday 23rd - Wishing all the ithacagreece.com followers a very Happy Holiday Season. Hope you get to spend your time doing things you love with the people you love and who love you.
Wednesday 26th - Hope everyone had a great Christmas and holiday so far. Here the windchill is freezing and the drop in temperature has everyone rugged up. Temps are supposed to go up again over the next couple of days. Nice.

Monday 31st - And so we end another year. 2018 was one where hope for better times eventuated into better times. We wish you all the best for 2019 and we will strive to continue to bring you news and photographs from around Ithaca as we have since 2003.

The highschool was having a bazaar in the square, selling some cakes and sweets to passers by.
If you're thinking of traveling, it's worthwhile just keeping your eye on the Ionian Pelagos timetable on their website for extra routes over this holiday period. Today's morning ferry is fully booked, but there is another in the afternoon.
