Monday 8th - It's a busy week this week. The Kioni Music Festival on tonight and tomorrow night, then the Frikes Festival with the Anoghi Panighiri soon after that.

Wednesday 10th - Last night was Night 2 of Slap Back In The Face, The Kioni Music Festival, supported by the Ithaki Council and organized by Thomas Vlismas, local Perahori boy, among others. Very successful festival again this year. Last night was my personal fave of the 2 nights. For 2 pages of pics, CLICK HERE or on photograph below.
Thursday 11th - Last night Frikes held it's annual festival in the carpark of the village. It was heaving and buzzing. A great night. For more pics CLICK HERE or on photograph below.

Below - This weekend was the annual Farmers Market in the Vathy Square. Locals sold produce and home made gifts and foods. It's always a colourful experience.
Above - Tv personality and journalist, George Kouvaras with Tina Pagoulatou at Sotiros.
Above - Elena LaQuatra, model and Miss Pennsylvania is a regular visitor to Ithaki, with her roots in Stavros with the Kouvaras family name. She was honoured in the Stavros Panighiri speeches this year.

Below - Kioni Music Festival at the Kioni Car Park runs over 2 nights. Entry is free, but you're welcome to make a donation.
Tuesday 9th - The first night of Slap Back in The Face was a great success. If you missed it, then you still have one more opportunity, that's tonight. The 2nd night of the 4th Kioni Music Festival is more Rock orientated, so completely down my lane. I'm looking forward to it alot, hope to see you all there.
If you're in Vathy, there's a free bus service from across the road from the karavias Pharmacy. It leaves for Kioni at 8pm and returns to Vathy at 1am. You have no excuse not to get yourselves to the festival.
Don't forget, this festival is also FREE. No entry charges. There are 2 bars set up for all your hydrating needs.
There alot going on around the island over the next couple of weeks so keep your eyes out on notice boards and of course the ithacagreece.com Events Calendar, which we try our best to keep updated with all the latest happenings.
Wednesday 10th - Below - One of the bass players in The Last Drive who played at Slap Back In The Face (The 4th Kioni Music Festival) last night in Kioni.
Thursday 11th - On the 13 - 14 of August, Pelagia Mania is exhibiting her artwork in the courtyard of the Folklore Museum. Get along and see some of her work.
Below - Would just like to mention that Ithaki's Ioanna Defteraiou from Vathy, will be representing Western Greece in the Balkan sailing championships for 2016. A great athletic achievement for one of Ithaki's own youth.
Above - Saturday 20th August in the Yard of the KAPI at 9pm, a traditional music and dance night.
