Thursday 30th - Left - Tina Geoghegan is on Ithaca with her family where they have a home in Lefki. Tina is a photographic enthusiast, learning all about the craft of photography and editing. I've sent her out with her camera to make my day lighter. Above - No better place to sit at Polis Beach than under the fig tree. |

Below - Kioni. Yesterday, Petro's across Greece celebrated their Name Day. Name Days mean lunches and afternoons with family and friends. There's always lots to eat and lots to drink, but most of all, there is what has kept Greece together through all the hard times. The extended family. It's this that people worry will be eroded with western ways that suit the financially determined, but not those balancing on this fine equilibrium. |

Above - Niko, barman and waiter from Spavento Bar in Kioni lights up the Kioni corner with some love and attention. Life is in the details. We should all remember that. With the disturbing events brought about by money over these past days, it may be worth reminding ourselves what is really important. I don't intend to be on my deathbed reminiscing about all the great refridgerators and cars I've had over the span of my life, but about the people who I have traveled through life with. Humanity first please. |
