It appears many have already fled the island for a winter life elsewhere, but still there were plenty of people around to help celebrate 2015 Oxi Day in Vathy.

Although I missed all the speeches and the wreath ceremony in Vathy, I did get to capture some local faces celebrating in the village square.

The day was really conducive to some outdoor celebrations, so lots of people congregated around the village square and beyond to the bayside for some great conversations and catching up. The weather was also warm enough for ice-cream.
