You know it's a big celebration when many clergy congregate from around the island and beyond to honour a Saint. Papoulaki has earned this priveledge. His bones are carried from Ag. Barbara church down into Stavros to Sotiros in a parade that has the who's who of clergy following behind. It's a day mostly celebrated by the northern Ithacans, although many southerners also make their way up the hill to take part. |
